What Does It Mean to Be a Virtual Participant?

If you can’t join Obliteride in-person in Seattle on Saturday, August 12, but still want to be part of the Obliteride community and help cure cancer faster, this is the option for you! As a virtual participant, you can support Fred Hutch while completing a bike ride or 5K from wherever you are. You’ll receive fundraising support, including access to a personal fundraising page, along with tools, ideas, and tips. You can also join teams of in-person riders, walkers, runners and volunteers. And, when you raise $250 or more, you’ll get the Obliteride 2023 T-shirt!

In town on Obliteride Weekend? Virtual participants will be able to purchase a ticket to join the Friday Night Party and Saturday Celebration. See you there!

Rainee’s Family Took It on the Road

Together, Rainee and her family chose a 5K walking route along the coast of Maine and invited their East Coast relatives to join. “We all had a BLAST!” she says. “The six kids especially loved being part of such a great event and cause.”

Reema’s Team Hiked the Mountains

Reema and her team raised funds by hiking some of their region’s most beautiful peaks. “Obliteride has a lot of energy, and you feel so proud to be a part of it!” said Reema.

Pashmi Found Motivation

The first year Pashmi joined Obliteride, her walk provided motivation to exercise. “I'm logging miles,” she said, “and my friends are logging miles with me. It all adds up to a big number!”
