Friday Night Kickoff Party

People say our big party at Gas Works Park is one of the best parts of Obliteride. Enjoy free live music, delicious local food, and some of the best wine and brews our region has to offer. All riders, walkers, and runners receive free admission for themselves and one guest. (Minors are welcome with supervision from a parent or legal guardian and a waiver signed on-site.)

Packet, jersey, and T-shirt pickup

Two ride participants in their Obliteride Jerseys

Jersey by mail

Riders who register before July 17 will receive their bike jersey in the mail. (Walkers and runners will receive their T-shirt at the event.) If you have an issue with your jersey, contact info@obliteride.org.

Option 2: At the event

Friday night

If you’re attending our Friday Night Kickoff Party, it’s a great time to check in and get your things! Collect your jersey or T-shirt and goodie-bag at check-in on Friday, August 7, from 4 – 8 p.m.

option 3: At the event

Event day

You may also collect your packet, goodie-bag, and other items at check-in on event day, Saturday, August 8, starting one hour before your wave begins. Look for the check-in tent. (Learn about wave times below.)

Start time information

Our 25-, 50-, and 100-mile bike rides begin in two waves, or groups. We will let you know which wave you are in through email. It is important for you to know your wave when you arrive on event day. Waves are assigned by team in alphabetical order. Not on a team? You will be assigned a wave at random. If you need to change your wave, email info@obliteride.org.

Safety and support

CAREFULLY CREATED ROUTES

Our family-friendly 5K is on a paved trail open only to foot and bike traffic. Our shared-road bike routes have signage, rest stops, support vehicles, and flaggers, and begin with a police escort.

Rest stops and snacks

Bike stops offer snacks, drinks, and support. The 5K stop includes plenty of water and encouragement. Our volunteers and staff make stops a fun and healthy way to recharge.

route assistance

SAG (support and gear) vehicles track riders on all bike routes. Just flag one down or call the emergency number on your wristband if you need assistance.

support at every stage

From fundraising to finding the event, we’re here for you. Throughout the season, we stay in touch through emails, Participant Center resources, and more. Questions? Contact info@obliteride.org.

What we need from you

To make our day safe and fun, we need help from you.

  • Be prepared: Choose and train for the route that works for you. If anything comes up during your ride or 5K, call support.
  • Stay on your marked route, cooperate with law enforcement, and give right-of-way to emergency vehicles.
  • Educate yourself about cycling safety. Use hand signals to turn and voice to pass, do not wear earbuds or earphones, and give others sufficient room to ride. Cross railroad tracks at right angles and stay aware of hazardous road conditions.
  • Obliteride is not a race. Some Obliteriders are new to group riding. Come prepared to be extra patient and helpful.
  • Wear your Obliteride wristband all weekend. It comes in your packet and has the emergency contact number on it.
  • Call 911 in an emergency.
  • And yes: Your helmet is required if you are riding.
